MAC OS X LION: Macintosh HD icon is gone from the Finder to the Desktop

Many of you upgrading to Mac OS X Lion has gone HD icon (Macintosh HD).
To resolve this problem:

 

Finder-> Preferences-> General-> Show these items on the desktop-> Hard Drives

    Cheers for that…was a right pain in the arse not having that icon…another ‘great’ idea from mac.

    Yeah, Jame’s right. Whats the point hiding the disk icons without warning …
