This is an update to the guide how to fix error 3200 / 3002 during the IOS 5 upgrade with iTunes 5

The simplest method to tackle this error that wait for couple of hours, and then try to update their devices to the latest iOS 5 firmware update through iTunes 10.5 (available for Mac and Windows both). Additional, you can try the Apple’sserver IP address in “hosts” file on Windows and Mac. But the best option to choose is to wait for awhile (it’s not a big deal though).

STEP 1: Download and install iTunes 10.5 on Windows or Mac. Start iTunes for at least 10 minutes then close it.

STEP 2: Navigate to the following folder:

On Windows:

C:Documents and SettingsApplication DataApple ComputeriTunesiPhone Software Updates

On Mac OS X:

~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates

STEP 3: Now cut and paste the files there to a folder on your desktop. (WARNING: Do not delete them, simply cut and paste)

STEP 4: Now put your iPhone into DFU Mode.

STEP 5: Launch iTunes 10.5 and go with iOS 5 restore procedure. That’s it!
